The condolence message was sent in the Pope’s name on Wednesday by Vatican Secretary of State - Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone. The message addressed to Bishop Oscar Roberto Dominguez of Ecatepec said - “ The Pope was saddened on hearing of the grave accident which has caused many victims, serious injuries to many more and caused considerable damage.” The Holy Father has expressed his spiritual closeness to all affected by this tragedy and offered prayers to Our Lady of Guadalupe to bring comfort to all.
