Pope Francis at Wednesday morning mass: because we are made in God's image, we are obliged to do good

We are all created in the image of God and this fact means that we all have a duty to do good. These were the remarks of Pope Francis, as he commented on the day’s readings, during his Wednesday morning mass, at the Santa Martha residence Chapel at the Vatican. The holy father said the recognition ofour duty to do good is a big ingredient in working against divisions and war in our world, adding that our inherent commandment to do good will also make us refrain from using the name of God in taking the lives of innocent people.
