Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelisation organising Day of the Gospel of Life in Rome

The Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelisation has announced that from Saturday to Sunday this week it will celebrate a Day of the Gospel of Life in Rome with the theme: Believing, we have life. It will be an occasion for the faithful from around the world to gather around Pope Francis in a communal witness to the sacred value of all life, that is, the lives of the aged, the lives of the sick, the lives of the dying, the lives of the unborn, the lives of the physically and mentally challenged, and the lives of all those who suffer. In addition, the event will be an occasion to celebrate, affirm, and encourage all those who take care of the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of those who are aged, disabled, ill, unborn, homebound, dying or who suffer in any way. On Saturday afternoon, June 15th, there will be a pilgrimage to Pius the 12th Square near the Vatican, which will conclude with the recitation of the Creed in various languages. The event will conclude on Sunday, June 16th, in the morning with Holy Mass presided over by Pope Francis at St. Peter’s Square.
