Let's give our vocations the seriousness they deserve, Pope Francis tells Seminarians and Novices during his Midday angelus on Sunday

The Holy Father on Sunday prayed the midday Angelus prayer with the faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square, majority of them seminarians and Religious novices who had just concluded their pilgrimage to the tomb of Peter in a liturgy with him. Just before the prayer Francis commented on the day’s scripture readings that focused on the sending of the twelve apostles. He said because Jesus did not want to act alone in spreading the love of God, he formed a community of disciples, which is a missionary community. And he soon prepared them for missionary life. Then the holy father cautioned that to walk in the footsteps of these disciples is an important undertaking that should be given the seriousness it deserves. Chris Altieri reports RealAudioMP3
