Pope Francis sends condolences to French Guyana following an accident of a bus that was carrying young people to the World Youth Day

Pope Francis on Thursday sent a message of condolence to the Bishop of Cayenne in French Guyana following a bus accident in which a French girl died and several other youth suffered injuries, three of whom critically. The bus was carrying young people who were preparing for the World Youth Day and was hit head-on by a lorry. In the message, the Pope assured all those involved in the accident of his prayers, and expressed his deepest sympathy for the victims, as well as for the rescue workers and all those around them. He also sent a special Apostolic Blessing to all those affected by the tragedy.
In another development Pope Francis has issued a twitter message inviting Catholics in this year of Faith to remember that faith is not something we possess, but something that we share. Every Christian, he said, is an apostle.
