Inter Religious Council of Ethiopia Organising Conference on Religious tolerance
The Inter Religious Council of Ethiopia in collaboration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Federal Affairs has announced that it is organizing a three day conference in Addis Ababa to discuss religious tolerance and respect for the constitution. The conference begins this coming Tuesday, August 27th and will bring together 2,500 participants from across the country. The council was established in 2010 to promote interfaith teaching and cooperation, with a view to address issues of common concern. Its members are: the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council, the Ethiopian Catholic Church, the Ethiopian Adventist Church, the Ethiopian Evangelical Church and the Evangelical Churches Fellowship of Ethiopia.
