God always forgives – Pope tweets

August 26, 2013 - In the latest post on his Twitter account, Pope Francis is urging all to turn to God who always forgives. “Don’t be afraid to ask God for forgiveness. He never tires of forgiving us. God is pure mercy,” is the tweet the Pope posted on Sunday. God’s mercy has been one of the favourite themes of the Argentine Pope, who was elected pontiff on March 19. Speaking at Sunday’s midday ‘Angelus’ prayer, the Pope explained that precisely because one is a great sinner he/she is God’s favourite, because Jesus favours the sinner, always, to pardon him/her. “Jesus is awaiting you to embrace you, to pardon you. Don’t be afraid,” the Pope exhorted.
