A Nigeria financial magazine, Ventures, has published a list of 55 African billionaires. Twenty are Nigerian, nine are South African and eight are Egyptian. The remaining 18 come from several other African countries including Swaziland, one of the poorest countries on the African continent. Three of the billionaires are women and come from Nigeria, Kenya and Angola. All of them have had connections with political power. According to ventures these billionaires have fat accounts; they own a lot of property and also have big investments in various companies abroad. African has the biggest number of poor people. According to the World Bank in 2013 the poor in Africa are 414 million.
