Pope Francis receives the heir to the throne in Luxembourg and meets with other top church officials
Pope Francis on Thursday morning received in audience Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg and his wife Princess Stephanie de Lannoy. Prince Guillaume (Jean Joseph Marie) has been heir apparent to the crown of Luxembourg, a European nation since his father's accession to the throne in 2000. Prince Guillaume was born at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital in Luxembourg and is the eldest child of Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and his wife, Cuban-born Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. Pope Francis also received in separate audiences Thursday, the Apostolic Nuncio in Australia, Archbishop Paul Ghallagher, the Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines, Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto, Los Angeles Archbishop Joe Horacio Gómez, the Apostolic Vicars of North and South Arabia Bishops Camillo Ballin and Paul Hinder and the Apostolic Vicar for Saudi Arabia Aldo Berardi.
