Pope’s blog urges Christians to demonstrate faith in action

January 20, 2014 - In a post on the microblogging site Twitter, Pope Francis on Monday called on Christian to live their faith in action too. “It is not enough to say we are Christians. We must live the faith, not only with our words, but with our actions,” the Pope tweeted on his Twitter handle @pontifex. The Argentine Pope who assumed the name Francis after Italy’s popular saint from Assisi, known for his simplicity, humility and poverty, has done away with much of the pomp and grandeur associated with the Pope. He has been asking the clergy, religious as well as the laity to go out and seek the marginalized of society in imitation Christ’s love for the lost sheep.
