Bear the challenges of life without using God or others; Pope Francis at Monday morning mass

It’s better to entrust ourselves completely into the hands of the Lord than use God nor use others to defend yourself in times of trouble. In these words during his homily at Monday morning’s private mass, at the Vatican the holy father warned invited us to look into ourselveves and repent and turn to God when trouble knocks on our doors. Reflecting on the Second Book of Samuel in Monday’s readings Pope Francis urged encouraged the emulation of King David who chose to put his trust in the Lord and save his kingdom and the people of God instead of fighting the defecting son, Absalom.
