Vatican City, 15 February 2014: In a post on the social media on Saturday, Pope Francis invited all to pray for peace in Africa specially mentioning Central African Republic and South Sudan. The Pontiff wrote on his Twitter account @pontifex: “Let us pray for peace in Africa, especially in the Central African Republic and in South Sudan.”

Pope Francis has often appealed to establishing peace through dialogue. In recent months he has focused more on the peace initiatives in the Middle east and in Africa where conflicts are on the rise making millions of refugees and Internally displaced People.
