Cardinal, Joao Braz de Aviz calls upon Consecrated Men and Women to reflect on their Vocation

The Prefect of the Congregation Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, Cardinal, Joao Braz de Aviz, has called upon consecrated men and women to prepare for the Year for Consecrated Life, by spending a considerable amount of time remembering the joy they felt when they first realized God was calling them. He made the call in a letter he released on Wednesday. He said by remembering the joy of being loved by God and rekindling the joy of following him, consecrated men and women will be better evangelizers and better promoters of new vocations. The year of Consecrated life declared by Pope Francis will begin on November 30th this year and will close on February 2nd 2016. During the year many religious activities will be organized including an ecumenical meeting with religious orders of other Christian churches, and special gatherings for young religious men and women.
