Pope Francis meets with the heads of Roman Curia offices

Pope Francis on Tuesday met with all the heads of Dicasteries of the Roman Curia in the Sala Bologna of the Apostolic Palace. A statement from the Press Office of the Holy See said that the purpose of the meeting was to share reflections and responses to the Holy Father’s Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii gaudium, and to discuss ideas for implementing the document.
“The Joy of the Gospel” as the document is known in English, was issued in November last year. It speaks about numerous themes and outlines the Pope’s vision for a missionary Church, whose doors should always be open. The Dicasteries, such as the Secretariat of State, the Congregations, Tribunals, Councils and Offices, are the various organisations within the Vatican which help the pope in the exercise of his supreme pastoral office for the good and service of the whole Church and of the particular Churches.
