China: terror attack in restless western region

(Vatican Radio) Official state media in China report at least 15 people dead and more than a dozen others wounded, after terrorists attacked civilians in the western Chinese region of Xinjiang, which is home to the Muslim Uighur minority group. Violence has claimed the lives of no fewer than 150 people in the region this year. China blames the violent unrest on Uighurs agitating for regional independence.
